I think I'm a very practical person by default. And yeah, practical people can never see things from how an idealist person see his/her way of thinkings..

But in this world, perhaps being idealistic isn't the best way to survive afterall. :) May the fittest survive!

Well, perhaps before I used to be pretty idealistic. But being idealistic, I hurt myself more. Not that being cynical didn't hurt me too.. just that I already predicted everything that was going to happen.. and they did happen. So I was mentally prepared for everything, instead of like before, it was like "BANG!" and I get shot in. the. heart.

I know what you mean about being prepared..
but u r sabotaging yourself too by "being prepared", you know?
If u always have the notion that everything is going to end badly.. even if everything were going well it would go badly soon enough because of your mindset..
I hope you get what I mean..
