[Character name] Minako Arisato (Female Protagonist)
[Age] 17
[Canon] Persona 3 (Portable)
[Point in time taken from canon] end of January 31, 2010

[Background]
Female Protagonist profile for information specifically about her, and Male Protagonist profile for history, since hers is exactly the same.

[Personality]
Minako comes across as a perfectly average teenage girl -- she's cheerful, upbeat, and girlish, and enthusiastically throws herself into her studies and club activities. She's outgoing and makes friends easily, and she gets along with everyone pretty well even if they aren't quite friends. While she has a lot of charm and charisma that attracts people to her, she's not the kind of person who goes out of their way to stand out in the crowd. Most of the time she's fairly calm and quiet, and not the type to actively seek out the spotlight.

However, as shown by her role in SEES, she's a strong natural leader, even if the position was given to her somewhat arbitrarily in the beginning. Her ability to remain calm and level-headed makes her adept at making quick decisions in difficult situations, and her upbeat personality helps her try to keep everyone's mood up at the same time. She tries to always remain strong for her teammates, and it takes a pretty severe situation for her to crack and show hesitation or fear. All of her strengths, plus her tendency to want to put 110% into whatever she does, can sometimes be a bit off-putting to people around her. It can come across as her trying to do everything herself or be more important than everyone else, when that's really not her intention at all -- she's just trying to do her best and get everything done. She has a lot of courage, of the sort that means you go and do what needs to be done even though it's absolutely terrifying. She also has a strong will and can be quite stubborn, and all of this together means that if something has to be done, she will do it no matter what it takes. It takes a special level of determination to go up against Death itself trying to end the world, after all.

Minako is extremely personable, and always wants to support her friends as best she can. People have a tendency to warm up to her and talk to her about their problems, and she's always willing to offer an ear and some advice when they do. She's highly in-tune with other people's emotions, and can easily emphathize with them and tell them what they want to hear. She also tries to see the best in people, so unless you've done something particularly egregious, she's not going to be put off by you even if you aren't very approachable. And once you've earned her friendship, she's incredibly loyal and will stand by you no matter how bad the situation gets.

While she always tries to be a source of support for others for dealing with their problems, she rarely seeks out support for her own difficulties. She puts her companions before herself, so she tends to keep her own worries to herself and put on a brave face for everyone else. She genuinely just doesn't want to worry them, because she figures she can handle things on her own. This means it can be difficult for her to open up to people, even people she's very close with, because she's so used to not sharing her problems. She is a very positive and optimistic person by nature, though, so she doesn't let minor problems get her down too much. If a problem is big enough, though, it can definitely crack her usual demeanor -- she was obviously scared that the world was going to end, and a bit freaked out that she was carrying Death inside of her for so long. But even so she tried to keep up appearances to support everyone else.

[Abilities]
Minako's main ability is that she can summon a Persona, a creature canonly explained as a magical manifestation of one's psyche. Unlike the other characters in the game, however, she also possesses the Wild Card ability, which allows her to harness the power of more than one Persona. She can only actively use one Persona at a time, but she can easily switch between them whenever she wants.

In the game she can hold up to 12 Personas at once, but for Somarium this will be reduced to 3. The ones she'll be bringing are Orpheus Telos, Thanatos, and Black Frost. (Orpheus Telos doesn't have set skills in the game, so let's say it has electric attacks, healing skills, and the ability to resist ailments.)

[Other important stuff] Personas are summoned using an Evoker, which is basically a fake gun you have to "shoot" yourself in the head with to use. It can't function as an actual weapon. She'll have it with her when she arrives.

[First Person]
Hey, everyone! Today I have a question I'd like to ask. I'm in a cooking club at home, but I haven't really been practicing a lot since I got here. So to fix that, I thought I'd try making a cake! They're a little complicated, but you're more motivated if you're making something fun, right?

I haven't made anything that big by myself before, though, so I don't want to try anything too hard just yet. Could anyone who knows about cooking suggest a kind of cake that wouldn't be too difficult? I was thinking maybe a plain white cake, since they look pretty simple, but is there something else that would work?

Oh, and if anyone wants to practice with me, you're welcome to come over sometime! I'm not exactly the best cook, but I'm pretty good with small things like cookies and truffles, and it's always more fun to work with friends.

[Third Person]
After Minako had been in Somarium for a few days, and gotten over both the initial shock and being absolutely exhausted, she figured it was probably time to go exploring. After all, if she was going to be here a while, she should start to get the know the place, right?

She'd already poked around Espoir a bit when she'd first arrived, so off to Somni it was -- besides, she didn't particularly want to run into the scarecrows again after she'd accidentally had Black Frost set the first one on fire. (It had jumped at her out of nowhere and she'd thought it was a Shadow! The rest of the scarecrows had still been angry with her even after she'd apologized profusely, and she couldn't blame them, really... Maybe she could bring them something to make it up to them? What kind of things would sentient scarecrows like?)

It was only after she'd wandered out of the village and into what looked like a park that it occurred to her she should've tried asking someone for a map first -- she wasn't sure how big the city was, and she wouldn't want to get so turned around she couldn't make her way back later. On the other hand, she had a pretty good sense of direction, and it seemed like it would be hard to miss a farm village in the middle of an urban city. And the city did seem to have proper roads, though she hadn't seen many cars on them. Maybe there was a subway that most people used? She'd have to look for a station of some kind later.

This was certainly a lovely park, though! She particularly liked the fountains, but that might just be because they looked a bit like the ones at Paulownia Mall. Theo would definitely like them.

...She hoped Theo and everyone else at home was doing all right. If she'd understood the explanation correctly, everything should still be going on there just as it was supposed to, and with Nyx gone (Nyx was gone for sure, right? she could vaguely remember seeing Tartarus disintegrate before she woke up here) they wouldn't even remember what had happened, but... She'd at least like to know that everyone was okay.

This wasn't the time to worry about that, though. She had her own situation to worry about first. She could see buildings in the distance, at the edge of the park -- one of them looked like it had a large sign on the front. Maybe it was a shop of some kind? It was worth investigating, at least. She turned and headed off in that direction across the park.
