A family with a severely mentally and physically disabled child has medically stunted her growth by removing her breasts, performing a hysterectomy, and giving her hormones that keep her from entering puberty. That was really interesting. I agree that it could be a slippery slope, but to be honest, my biggest thought after reading everything was that if this could be widely available to parents who have severely mentally disabled kids (in the mental-infancy range), we might end up with a lot more home-care for the kids and a lot happier parents/child/health workers.
