[Yuuka had been sitting in her garden for quite a while since the Hotel event. She literally had not left it for days, save for necessities. That BOY, did something to Yuuka that she could not understand. Somehow his pathetic clawing for proper speech managed to produce something that set a smoldering pile of ash ablaze in the back of Yuuka's ( Read more... )

[ Komachi is too tired to really want to do much more that day, just go home and go to bed. She can get her toes back tomorrow. As she stumbles blearily back home, she almost knocks into Yuuka. When she notices, her shoulders hunch up and she only stammers. ]

A-agh. Sorry. Sorry.

Komachi you fool! convallariaceae September 15 2010, 20:03:43 UTC
[Yuuka looks at Komachi with a confused gaze, stopping dead in her tracks.]

Sorry? Yes, sorry. So sorry.

You do not look well. Not well at all.

[ Komachi nervously laughs. She's too oblivious to notice the change in Yuuka, but...]

No no, I'm okay. I don't have anything wrong with me, I think.

Oh no, but you do.

You look so very tired. Has someone hurt you?

[A man's home might be his castle, but Rabbit's is his garden, and he's been hard at work in it all day, not much caring to stop even when night has rolled around.]

..Ah! Good day, Miss Yuuka. Er, rather, good night, what? Why are you out so late, if you don't mind me asking?

WHY YOU DO THIS??? convallariaceae September 16 2010, 03:43:07 UTC
[Yuuka slowly comes to a stop, and looks toward Rabbit...the soft glow of her red eyes the only thing visible in the shadow of her hair.]

Good evening. Sometimes a Youkai simply enjoys a moonlight stroll.

[Okay, that's....kind of unsettling....but Rabbit approaches her anyway, far too innocent and oblivious to know better and run.]

Understandably, understandably- the moon can be very lovely. Would you mind company?

YOU. ARE. HORRIBLE. convallariaceae September 17 2010, 03:51:47 UTC
I do not believe I would be pleasant company right now.

It would be best for you to enjoy the evening in your garden, lest you see something you do not wish to see.

[The glow from Yuuka's eyes seems to intensify as Rabbit approaches...and everything around her feels as if death is looming just around the corner.]

[She's outside tonight to play with her fellow fireflies, making them dance in her hands and light up her face. However, that's not all their glow illuminates....

Wriggle says nothing when she sees Yuuka. Any of the words floating around in her mind get gummed up somewhere along the way to her throat and stay stuck. For now, she only watches.]

[Yuuka doesn't seem to notice Wriggle as she shuffles along, keeping her gaze fixed on the ground in front of her feet. If Wriggle listens closely, she may hear Yuuka whispering quietly to her self...saying something not quite loud enough to understand like some sort of chant.]

[For a reason Wriggle doesn't even want to acknowledge, and against her childish excuse for judgement, Wriggle slowly gets up and stumbles after the flower youkai.

She had been avoiding her for a good, long time, and now the firefly remembers why. Not just because of what lay between them, or what was said- it hurts to even look at Yuuka. Something in Wriggle's chest twists even as she follows, inexplicably drawn.]

[Yuuka does not stop moving, and does not stop staring at the ground...however her voice is now loud enough to hear.]

It seems a little firefly has grown a bit curious.

What do you want?
