I am all over love of iTunes at the moment. Yay for loading much music on my faithful little iBook. That's almost all I accomplished this weekend while my sinuses exploaded and made me miserable. Actually, I also made a powerpoint slide show of the PRB Arthurian paintings I want to show in class tomorrow. But now I wonder ( Read more... )

According to Spouse, the PP that you created on the Mac *should* be okay on the PC...the caveat is that it's not *exactly* the same. His observation is that the Mac tends to compress things a bit more, so when you run it on a PC the slides/screens might look a bit expanded.

As for the iTunes question...he's never tried a direct iTunes soundtrack, but what would work would be to just bring your iBook and play the specific play list you like as a backdrop whilst you run the PP on the PC.

(Why can't you run the PP on your iBook? No compatible hookup on campus?)

Hope your sinuses are less painful. :)

I had my suspicions. Thanks for weighing in.

Why can't you run the PP on your iBook? No compatible hookup on campus? I may be able to get a portable projector to hook to the iBook, but the classroom is equipped with a PC and projector apparatus with the projector mounted on the ceiling, but hardwired into the PC rather than wirelessly connected, so it's not obvious how to bypass the PC in favour of my iBook. I will, however, seek the (usually tardy and inadequate) services of our tech support crew tomorrow morning.

The irony here is that I shifted to Mac at the urging (nay, begging) of the head of tech services who would like to get the whole campus converted from PCs (and their infernal virus susceptibilities). Fortunately, the infrequent compatibility headaches are more than balanced out by my great and t00by love for my iBook.

Powerpoint should move seamlessly. You might want to save it also using the "pack and go" option, in case it won't open the regular way.

Can't help you on the music, though, sorry...
