Actually today was more like the fourth day , than the fourth observation day, so a fellow student was able to teach me a bunch of short hand and acronyms, such as SOAP which are mainly used in progress notes used to help keep tabs on a patient on a day to day basis. So i went back to OR. but had an orthodontist appointment, so that was cut short.
I saw another full on Gallbladder removal (cholecystectomy), this time i stayed for the entire part, i feel i'll be fully desensitive to gore soon. =)

Observed a masectomy of a 80 something year woman.
and a cholecystectomy (gall bladder removal) of a 40 year old man. Our bodies sure look ugly from the inside out. and the woman got hair on her boobs. which made me thought she was a man. And i saw my director fondle an 80 year old mans crotch for swelling.
