the most disturbing thing just happened. i just woke up about 30 minutes ago (3:20 am) to Cookie having what i think was a stroke. i thought he was going to die. i thought i had woken up just in time to see him die. he was shaking/convusling and breathing heavy and crying and making weird sounds (that's what woke me up). at first i thought he was

i'm 99% sure that was a seizure. my dog used to have them all the time. probably for about a year before she died. so that doesn't necessarily mean cookie is critical; it just means he's old and not well. i understood that seizures mean there is something wrong in the brain and there's not much at all they can do about it. i just tried to comfort my dog as much as possible after, make sure she was hydrated, loved, not hurting..i mean, definitely ask your vet what's going on, but apparently it's quite common in certain breeds of older dogs.. hope everything works out for you love :) you and cookie are in my thoughts and prayers.
