FOOB FAQ!

Nov 15, 2005 22:55

I've mentioned before that I get so tired of seeing the same questions and erroneous info over an' over an' over. "Therese told Anthony the baby isn't his!" "When's April going to get her period?" "Is Jesse an orphan?" Not so much here, but on other sites. So I created a FAQ. http://www.livejournal. ( Read more... )

Heh?

I read and love this site for a long time but it's 2006... hopefully only a small problem?

If this site is not there I will be SO upset :P

Somehow the date was only showing from 2005, as 2005 being the newest post...

Thanks, jette. People, I got home at 1:30 PST, and I'm still not caught up on all the FOOB outrage, here and on other sites. When Cookie Monster comes home, I'm going to tell him Chef McDonald is making dinner tonight.

Cookie, I know somewhere in the comments in the Foobiverse, someone's posted a link where you could look up older strips. I can't remember what it was though; do you have any idea on that?

I am trying to find it but I thought maybe asking here might help too.

Thanks in advance.

This was posted in the new FOOB FAQ. http://www.chron.com/apps/comics/showComic.mpl?date=2002/4/1&week=1&name=For_Better_Or_Worse You can change the URL. Not sure how far it goes back, but it should help.

Glad to see something like this up; I've got to admit that I was semi-confused about a couple of those points myself, and I've been reading FBofW for years.

Now, I must apologize in advance for going off-topic here, but I haven't found any less public way to get in touch with you. The last two times I've tried to comment at the binky_betsy group it hasn't come through and when I looked at my profile this morning, I found out that I no longer have posting access to the group. Have I done something which resulted in a complaint? If you really don't want me to be part of the group anymore I'll accept that and remove myself, but it would be nice to have some sort of explanation.

Again, I apologize for going off-topic. If you choose to reply, please send a message to me at pennfana (at) yahoo (dot) ca.

No, nothing's wrong. cookie77 April 12 2007, 22:41:07 UTC
"No posting access" just means you can't start threads. And that applies to everyone, not just you. Are you sure you were posting comments or replying to other comments? I never banned you or anything. I've seen messages from you recently, so there seems to be no problem with your posting access. Anyway, if I was going to ban someone, I would tell them so FIRST! So no worries! Sorry you got spooked.

(The reason people can't start threads is simply because the Lynnions are breathing down our necks, and I have to be able to see every post in email, immediately. They HAVE gotten on my case in the past about image linking and so forth.)

Ah, I see-and thanks for the reassurance. I honestly thought that my posts weren't coming through; I suppose there was some sort of glitch on my side (or I accidentally clicked the wrong "respond" link two days running, which would be typical for me). Add a bit of confusion, my apparent talent for pushing the wrong buttons once in awhile (literally and figuratively) and a bad experience some time ago where I was banned without knowing why, and the fact that I don't actually know you...well, I think you know what happened next. Sorry about that.

I got a response to my comment in today's entry in my e-mail and was told that it's been screened (not showing up in the group). Is there a way to unscreen it so that I (and anybody else that sees it) can respond? Thanks. :)

To add: the person sent it twice; the one that I want to see unscreened is the second comment (that one has two paragraphs. I want to reply to that one so bad that it hurts. :)

Unfortunately, you just have to wait for me to see it and unscreen it. Sorry! If it's urgent, you can respond in a separate post with a quote.
