fanbook update
Hey Guys,
We have come up with a theme for the book.
We have decided to again do it like a journal, but unlike last time where it was very much like John's journal, this time we have decided it would be cool to do a more modern journal. As if Sam and Dean had started their own.
The ideas we have for pages so far are;
Webpage Layouts/Screen Dumps
Note Paper
motel header paper
Scrap Paper
PostIts
Polaroids
Napkins
Newspaper Articles - to explain this, certain pages will be used to look like newspaper articles.
Burger Wrappers
We were thinking that when they are on the move they would grab the closest thing to them and scribble down what they needed to know and remember. This is where we were coming from with this idea.
If anybody else has any ideas and would like to suggest them that would be fantastic.
We would also appreciate any help from people who can make plain templates of these things for us to use. If more details are needed please ask and I will explain in greater detail what it is we are after.
Even if people just help us out coming up with motel names and logos that would be an immense help. Or if you want to find ones from the show that would be even better.
The size of pages are to be:
210 x 297 MM
300 Pixels Per Inch
We are hoping that this book will look as amazing as the last one, but it is going to take a lot of work to get it up to the same sort of standards. Using the old paper and stains really added to the effect of the last book, with this one being newer looking we need to find new ways to make it look awesome and stand out!
When I have some free time i will send a couple of examples of the sort of templates we are after.
We need confirmation on the convention at which we plan to present the book, once we have that the deadline will be released. I know it is annoying people not knowing, but we dont want to say incase the con we have chosen to present it at, isnt the con we end up presenting it at.
One last thing ... Don't forget to spread the word!
Even if your friends don't have access to any of the sites we have set up and don't want to join up to the newsletter they can still be part of the book. If they have anything we are looking for pass on the message about the book, see if they want to include something.
Things seem to have gone quiet as regards to new interest in the project. I know its still a long way off, but I dont want people losing interest again like last time. We had loads of people show an interest and then not join in with the book.
things were looking for:
charity work, fund raising in the name of supernatural
fanarts, wall papers, humourous icons
fan messages to cast and crew
misha minions pages..need ideas,
fan photo ops - those crazy ones
poems,
short fanfics
fanboys,
spn tattoos
touching stories after meeting the cast and crew
and lots lots more...
