I've so wanted to read that, since I've loved her fic since back in the days of JossVerse (sigh. It seems like so long ago), but I've never seen an ep of 'The L Word'. *cries*

I know I caught onto it with the Jossverse fic, you should be able to follow it without watching having watched 'The L Word'. I missed a couple of eps in the story timeline and it's still easy to follow.

I've had a few people who have never watched the L Word and/or Alias who tell me that they're able to follow the series pretty well. So hopefully it's not that confusing. :D

All you need to know, topaz, is that Sydney's got a cousin whose a daughter of Katya, whose been living incognito in West Hollywood for a few years. Within a few stories, we're introduced to her, her life, and her friends.

So I don't just drop you into them. Hopefully you don't get lost. :D
