Sorry to hear about your Grandpa. :( But, it's good that your grandma is getting better. And 64 years is impressive! Wow. My grandparents are going to hit 60 next summer. I agree about the inspiration!

How did you and Cam meet?

We met and started dating in high school. I guess there are 3 contributing factors to our meeting:

1. I officially met him because at one time I was dating one of his friends and would go to Cam's house to hang out now and again with that guy.

2. Our names were alphabetically next to each other so I was forced to sit next to him in biology.

3. During a trip to the Guthrie Theater both our groups of friends disappeared and we were left behind. That's when I really talked to him for the first time.

After h.s. we went to different colleges and kept an open relationship for the possibility of meeting/dating other people but we soon discovered we really just wanted to be together and were happy being together. We got married in May 2004 after we were both done with undergrad.

So, that's it in a nutshell - even though I feel like a wrote a ton. But as you probably know from being in a long-term it's hard to sum up everything in a few words!

How did you meet Lee?

I forgot to mention...you and Cam are an inspiration also. Not too many people have been dating/married for as long as you guys have(at around our age anyway.) Puts Lee and my 4 year relationship to shame. :)

High school sweethearts...awww.

Lee and I went to Jr High together. We never spoke, that I know of. He had a crush on me from afar. High school separated us and then we met again up in Duluth at a house party. The house was called "The Crotch" of all things! He was going to school in Milwaukee and he was in Duluth visiting his high school best buds. I was sitting on the couch with a bunch of friends and all the sudden he was holding my hand. I thought he was a random, stupid drunk guy...but then I looked over and he had the shyest and cutest smile on his face. He invited me over to his best friend's house and we cuddled and talked all night. That's when he confessed his Jr High crush. I've been head over heels pretty much since then.

I agree, it's hard to sum it up! I also wrote a ton!
