A time for new beginnings

Busses and unions are awesome. Except that the met-council keeps raising the fares and cutting the routes, so it sucks when you have to pay a buck fifty to stand outside for an hour and fifteen minutes after work at 11:30pm. And most of the union leadership is all into being as respectable as possible to the company and will either sell out the workers or if they aren't nasty, will have not the slightest clue on how to stop cuts and layoffs. I'm a little bitter about that now.

Anyway, I've been taking the city bus for the last 4 years, and its not that bad. Just call 612-373-3333 and either do the automated bus route thing or if its during the day talk to someone, and its pretty easy. Just make sure you have music to listen to while you're riding, 'cause it gets boring and it's too bumpy to read. Otherwise its fun and a billion times cheaper than driving.

Thanks for the tip! I don't think I would opt to read anyways. I get carsick easily and doing so on a public, crowded bus doesn't seem like the most festive of times.
