Yes, so here I am at UR. The trip down (on Tuesday) was good...for me. Listening to Ellen's mix CD, and munching on the fruit-by-the-foot Carolyn got me. Ahhh, the memories! And lots of sleeping

It's like you're on a road trip again, except alot longer than a month. Bleh - I've got to stop being lazy and send you mail. Cuz mail makes people feel special. Yay!
Wow, since you seem so eager to hear about the Honor Code, I will explain! :)
The University opperates around the Honor Code, so as to create an atmosphere of trust. The shortened version of the code is: I pledge that I have neither received nor given any unauthorized assistance during the completion of this work. (signature) We write this on all homework, tests, papers, etc (though I think some professors will just let you write "I pledge" and sign it)
There was an information session about the Honor Code, in which they explained what it's all about, why they have it, what the violations are, and what will happen if you violate it. Then there was a short test, basically making sure you understood what went on in the presentation, so you could not plead ignorance if you ever got caught violating the code.
I have a whole booklet about it if you want to know more. :P
And have you updated lately? Cause I haven't been seeing any entries from you on my friends page. :(
Thanks. That was pretty much what I expcted, but I was curious about the details. Doe sthe school have a history of problems with cheating?
I updated once this week. I don't always update very often I'm afraid, but I do read my friendslist every day or two at most (and I comment!). I tend to blog smaller things more often on my bloglet, if you just can't get enough of me.
I don't know whether they had problems with cheating. I know the Honor Code's been around for a loooong time though, and people do actually uphold it. And I believe it was started by students...at least now it's run by students.
