Im home guys
Well Im home now. Im tired both physically and "sleepwise". It was actually really fun. We worked really hard for a lot of the time but it was awesome hanging out with all the bandos. I know I know... band is considered dorky and shit but its not. There are a lot of awesome people in there that Ive met. And yeah, there are some weirdos too but that goes on everywhere. and surprisingly...... a bunch of hot guys in it too omgoshsgjh39284sdkfjwsjg45ksgkgsg
Alright Ill try and remember as much as possible that happened but i will forget a lot Lol
SOOOO Sunday- Got to Kettering, they searched my bags (again) checked to see if i was healthy and clean lol and then I hung around with Emma and we got gatorade and I smuggled it onto the bus. WELL we watched the Day after tomorrow and ferris buellers day off on the bus. About half way there we stopped to get food I got Taco Bell. I was disappointed that there were no talking trash cans at that one. me emma chris mary nolan all sat and ate and chris was bein mean to mary and it was funny Lol. Welll We got to camp, and put all our stuff in our cabins (me and emma=bunk Buddies) and our cabin was attatched to another cabin with sweet ppl in it too. Well then we all went to the pavillion and had some orientation thing and got name tags (yesss) wellll then we went to dinner I think and it was nasty (the food was gross all week i lost ten freaking pounds) We had this gross pizza crap that I spilled juice all over so i think all I ate was chips. When you take your tray up you dump the leftover juice into the bucket thing so our theory is that they reuse it (I drank water all week) Well after that we changed, grabbed our stuff and went to the field for our 1st practice. We do friggin sweet stretched like "dees nuts" and Massage Lines (get in a line, massage person in front of you) and some gay thing where we sing this song and I get it stuck in my head everytime "Im alive awake alert enthusiastic, Im alive awake alert enthusiastic, im alive awake alert im alert awake alive im alive awake alert enthusiastic" whoot whoot
well after stretching we started learning drill and I was slow so it took me awile to catch on what to do and... yeah I eventually got the hang of it. Then went back to cabins, got a nice FREEZING SHOWER and went to bed. the shower curtains werent big enough for the showers... so we got no privacy.
Mondayup EARLY and went to breakfast (something nasty) and then went off to the field, lunch, full band rehearsal, sectionals, then free time. At free time we went down to the lake because on the first day, if you planned on swimming anytime in the week you had to take this easy swimming test. So we did that and then walked around for awile. So at the swimming part... these guys are taking off their shirts and im like "holy shit how are these MARCHING BAND guys?" It was sweet. Then there was this hot lifeguard that sounded like jesse mccartney ow ow.

anywho.
we had a bonfire and the new member initiation thing. I got a hat that I have to wear for the "rest of our marching career" lol. We were trying to steal a box of reeses that they had out but it didnt work. "roampfa" lmao Emma.
tuesday- again there was some nasty food. I swear I didnt eat barely anything all week. Tuesday i think was the day of the "golf cart #4 incident" So there are a bunch of golf carts that the counselors get to drive around and were not allowed to ride them which is dumb. Soo Some people decided to steal a golf cart. Well they did and,.... they crashed it into a pole. Then they were all blaming it on Nolan haha. It was great. Well were out in the sun all day so i start developing odd tanlines. I am pissed... ive got a freaking SOCK tanline. I make fun of those. Now i cant because Id be a hipocrite. It gets worse by the end of the week... the lyre I strap to my arm (mini stand) has also given me tanlines. ahh well it didnt take me long to figure out what I was doing I was proud. Free time... a bunch of people went to the lake and we swam around for awile. Chris tried to drown Emma and well she choked. Then he tried to drown me but I was too fast for him. The lifeguards were discussing "which cartoon characters were the hottest" The guy said Daisy Duck or somethin and... it was a weird convo. Tuesday night... pizza and a movie night. We watched man of the house and ate food at the "7-12" store. Then I learned the cool handshake from chris and then went to bed after a cold shower. Can I tell ya how friggin difficult it is to shave your legs in those tiny showers?
Wednesday- again we did band stuff but thats not very interesting to you guys lol. Our whole motivation thing when marching.... "Do it for Moses" ..... dont ask. So after drumline ran the cadence for us this girl was talking and was like "I love our cadence so much I just want to have the drumlines babies" haha. Free Time- I got to go to the high ropes thing with chris and Nolan. This one girl did a carwheel on it and I showed my gracefulness on the log. We pulled the legs off of a spider while waiting.... they still move when you pull them off its so gross. I was tired on the way back so I jumped on chrises back and he carried me for awile until he tripped and I almost died. We got sweet keychains haha. Wednesday Night was skit night. there wee some pretty sweet ones. These 2 ppl did the Whose line thing where someone stands behind you and they use their arms instead of yours. They made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich that way and it was funny. The Counselors did some skit thing which was alright, aand they FORCED all the freshmen to get up there and sing the Kettering Fight Song it was mean. Well I was so tired that night wow oh wow.
Thursday- I think that was the championship cabin ball game. Cabin Ball is like baseball... but inside the cabins with nerf balls and whiffle bats. ThaTs some big thing goin on in the boys cabins (we didnt do anything fun in ours) and well yeah. I think "coots" won (cabin name) Because the next morning they came in singing and dancing "Coots ahhhhh Coots ahhh" whoo had to be there. At lunch there was this nasty chicken That Marina slapped Cass in the face with haha it was great. He also got a face full of mustard. Free Time- Like nobody went swimming so I actually got a semi-warm shower and just laid around for awile. Thursday night- We had a dance. that was like the best night it was so much fun. Some stuff happened between A freshman (not naming names because im nice) and this senior (Cass) it was... odd. Well anywho we danced and stuff. At a slow song, at one point I was dancing with two guys at the same time lmao ("Dana... you Pimp") Lol that was great. I was trying to teach Chris and Nolan to do the washing machine because we were being dorks and it was hilarious because they SO do not move like that lol. Guys were air humping people and it was funny. People were dancing in the circle on a chair and... yeah. It was great... And some other stuff happened too but well... like Id write it here for the whole world to see haha.
Friday- Same old band stuff, Katie (flute instructor) got us flutes Icecream because she loves us (im the only freshman flutist.. its weird but the other girls are cool) Free time... Emma was sick :( so I was with sarah for awile then w/ chris and just kinda chilled that day. Later on was the Senior Circle Night. The seniors sit around the fire and told stories about there years in the band while all the underclassmen listened but werent allowed to talk AT ALL. It was okay though cuz some of the stories were really funny. Well I ended up falling asleep on chrises lap hhahhaa and then when I woke up we had to walk backwards away from the seniors Symbolizing that wed never turn our backs on them.
Satuday(today) Got to sleep in until 7 whoo hoo Lol. Had soggy waffles (hey at least its better than the powdered eggs or the rubber ones) rehearsed, cleaned out cabins. Then there was the family barbeque thing but nobody came for me because my parents dont love me (jk they just had to work) then we had to watch the Orchestra perform.... then we performed. We rocked hard. Got food then said bye to people who were going home with parents.. then the leftovers got on the bus. We watched Twister and Enough. Didnt get to see the end of enough though and I wanted to because Id never seen it before. Well Then exhausted.... finally got home safe and sound but completely exhausted from all the hard work.
Well I really didnt wanna go to camp because I though it would be hard and boring and Id be alone.... but thats not it at all. Yeah we worked hard and Im feelin it now *ouch* but it was also a blast. I met so many awesome people because of it... so now im not gonna be completely overwhelmed while I leave a bunch of you for kettering. (By the way I love you guys)
Wellllll I have many more good stories (yes I can tell band camp stories) but i wont put them all in here because... well I like to tell stories haha. So Ill just have to tell you guys on ur own.
Well im out to go sleep now cuz weve got ppl coming over tomorrow.
Ive missed you all... but I had a lot of fun and hung out with sweet bandos and well... yep
