I thought I'd offer a place for people not on my friend list to say hello. Or to complain about how often I change my layout/icons. I've seen a few familiar names in LJ Land that don't have a guest book, so I can't say hello. I guess this is my answer to that.

Have you looked at knitting, 20sknitters, and/or punk_knitters? There's also an English knitting community here at LJ, but I can't remember what it's called. As I've never heard of the pattern you're looking for, they might be your best choice.
