So i googled the phrase "I'm sorry you feel that way" and now i feel much better because it seem to me to be pretty universally acknowledged that the phrase translates to "i think you're wrong and i know that i'm right" and generally means that the person saying it is either a) an asshole or b) doesn't have respect for your feelings and opinions. my boyfriend is guilty of this allllll the time...but I'm too smart for him to get away with it.

that is zack's favorite phrase! also: "i wouldn't do it if i didn't want to," which actually is usually used in a more positive way. however, i think the first one should just be tattooed on boys' foreheads, so they don't have to waste their breath.
