Thanks for the pimp! ♥

I'm totally debating with myself about slashorific and I'm not even LOOKING at the other things (I'm weak willed and easily over committed), ♥

It looks like slashorific is fairly low pressure as far as I can tell :) I know what you mean though, I want to sign up for all the things atm but I'm trying to be a bit sensible!! Though I let fandom5k pass by and now I'm kinda regretting it even though I know it would have been a stretch /o\

If only I had nothing to do but write all the time :D

Aww! Well if you ever decide you want to learn, land of art is a good place to start, I'd never done any before I joined!

So many interesting opportunities!

I wish my craft skills were better, but they've devolved over the years. I haven't knit much of anything since the really ambitious sweater I made in college.

What are your personal crafting skills?

Ooh what was the sweater like?

My craft skills are a bit nonexistent! I make cards, and I upcycle furniture, but neither really fit with the exchange (can't post a table!!) so I'm gonna sit the first round out and just watch what others make for inspiration :)

I would love to learn how to crochet and knit though!

The sweater had all kinds of interesting features, some of which I learned just from that pattern for it. It was a baby pink color, much too large (because I didn't pay attention to "scale"-- I used a basic acrylic yarn and the needles I owned, which might have been too big.

It had rib stitch, seed stitch, single row stitch (a small stich), cable stitch, popcorn stitch (possibly also called a raspberry stitch), tile stitch, possibly a lattice twitch. It's hard to remember, 35 years later!

Fortunately, my sister didn't mind a too-large sweater, so I gave it to her. Not sure if she still has it, but as of about 25 years ago, she still did. Now she knits on her own, and is much better at it than I ever was!

It sounds pretty awesome!

I have a book on knitting, but that's as far as I've got in the learning process :-\
