Hey there! Chill! I understand how you feel. Just take it in your stride and treat it as a learning experience. In every job, being able to manage other people is part of the tricks of the trade. Many times, we are compelled to interact with people whom we'd rather not have any relationship with on an ordinary basis, but thats part and parcel of working life. =)
I guess the trick to survival is to be nice to everyone and to get along well with everyone. =)
What would you have done in a situation like this? Cos the only way I can think of managing her and getting along is to swallow it all, oblige and pretend nothing's wrong.
I would have obliged, because she is my superior, but I would bide my time and cultivate my other colleagues so that in a similar situation the next time, I would have an advantage. =P
That's the problem with an all-female environment. i think your school needs more guy teachers to temper things. Guys just don't do this kind of thing to other people and they chill better...
looks like i've joined the discussion late! anyway, i hope things would improve in time. i don't know why she's like that man! maybe you could talk to other colleagues to see what other experiences they've had too? use the power of others to change her or at least garner support lah.
as said before, that's what happens when there're no men (at all!) at the workplace... take care!
She's not like that with others. I suspect she's taking advantage of me because I'm relatively new, and because she is on good terms with others so it's her word against mine.
