This whole Extraordinary Machine stuff gets weirder and weirder.

Last night's Six Feet Under was perfect with the storm by the way.

Everytime I watch that show I find myself thinking too much as well as laughing at stupid shit (ala Claire throwing the napkins in the air at her co worker) hah true comedy.

I'm still kinda pissed the original Brion-produced tracks were scrapped. We'll see.

My friend Mike passed a Jon Brion interview to me this morning where he says he was very unhappy about the leaked versions because they were not represented of the work he and Fiona completed. He said something to the effect of, "It wasn't just a case of it being a bad mix, it wasn't even the same tracks."

Weird, weird, weird.

update: I HATE the new stuff. Get rid of Brion, and you get rid of the visceral musicality of the prior arrangements

I discovered this on Pitchforkmedia.com this morning and just about wet myself. It's interesting that she worked with Elizondo rather than Brion - I've always loved his arrangements. I'm glad she kept "Extraordinary Machine" ... what a bizarre, funky tune that one is.

You're right about that.

I'm looking forward to my internet connection -- I need access to this stuff.
