King Metal Slime lot
Today I shipped a custom lot I sold on Ebay for $55

YEAH so the King Metal Slime has a metal Star Wars Storm Trooper helmet as it's core, which was stuffed with tissue and wrapped with regular sculpey. Then I layered it with some yellow sculpey, and again with the Metal sculpey. That is one reason it was harder to do, I didnt paint him metallic, the sculpey itself is metalic so messing up would reaally suck. The crown center bulge is regular sculpey, and the golden parts were yellow sculpey cause gold paint is kinda transparent and only does well over a yellow base. Painted the crown and face and then covered the whole thing with 'ardcoat. (that's...the clear paint).
I used to make the earrings out of pure sculpey, but then one of my customers complained about an earring breaking at the tip the second time she used it. She also suggested using stronger materials. So now I make it the same way as before, but then instead of painstakingly making sure the sculpey covers the little screw completely AND still maintains the "SLIME" shape, I simply covered it KINDA with the sculpey, bake and then cover the top half of the slime with apoxie and let it harden. Then it's a simple job of dremmeling (sanding) down the apoxie until it has the perfect shape. YAY for everyone!
