It had gotten quite cold recently and Rika had stuffed her gloveless hands in her pockets in an attempt to keep them warm, so far it wasn't working. She was on her way to Touyas apartment to drop off their shared cooking book and had ignored Yoshi's warnings about the temperature drop. Yoshi had offered to drop it off for her but she had insisted ( Read more... )

"Leave it alone, Haru," Touya warned, elbow deep in dish water when the knock came.

"I know!" Haru flapped his hands at him. "Rika-san!"

Touya closed his eyes. "Moron," he muttered.

"Can I have a peek at the bruises? Touya threatened to tear his arms off and beat him to death with them and I want to see how much help he's going to need!"

He took a quick glance over and then looked back at the sink. He hadn't seen the bruise and didn't want to. Jail would be a bad move for him, he figured. Still. He glanced again and then, with a quiet 'thank you' to Daisuke and his basketball skills, threw a spoon at the back of Haru's head. "Oi. Go to work."

Rika had, of course, expected comments regarding the 'incident' but she hadn't been prepared for them being mentioned quite so soon or so bluntly put. With Haru, she realised, she should have. Making sure her bruised wrist was securely in her pocket she moved around Haru as Touyas well aimed spoon his it's mark. Giving Touya a small smile she moved towards the kitchen, "Can I help?" she asked, feeling more awkward than she had expected

He gave her a smile as he rolled his eyes at Haru. "Yeah--kick him out the door."

Haru handed him the spoon with a put-out air. "I only want to know," he said. "Because if it's bad you won't need help and--"

"Oi," Touya took the simple expiedent of slapping a hand over Haru's mouth. "Shut up. And I didn't threaten him with anything. Chisato and I sat with the car and looked thuggish, that's all." He looked at Rika. "Please kick him out the door?" he requested.

Rika smiled in return, mentally making a note of what he had just said about that night.

Looking at Haru sweetly she said, "Haru-san as much as I appreciate the concern for myself and Touya-san I believe you need to get to work. With Naoko-chan off at the moment I don't think it would be a good idea for you to be late." She added, feeling a bit guilty for bringing Naoko into it but knowing Haru wouldn't leave without a very good reason. And she did need to speak to Touya.
