Ikasucon itself is a dying con with small attendance, disorganized management, and not much to do, but I really liked the venue and the surrounding city. For all it has going against it, the people there were much friendlier and less obnoxious than what I generally see at a con, and there was a higher frequency of good cosplay ( Read more... )

I hadn't thought about that until now! It's totally true, haha. Things hae come full circle.

It was all your talk of Metalocalypse at FC and our little conversation about Skwis and Toki and slash goggles that made me really want to watch it. Riku actually thought it was dumb beforehand, until I persuaded her to watch the first episode with me and she caught part of one on Adult Swim. =P

The <3 is mutual, bb. Team Skwisgaar shirts. . . these need to happen. I have a friend with a screenprinter. . .

I understand. =P I get that a lot. People on DA also seem to like mentioning that my face is perfect for cat make-up because it's so "furry". I'm not really sure how to take that one. . .

Also, I agree! I have three blonde wigs, all bought at different times for different reasons, and I'm always kind of amazed that blonde hair suits me as well as it does. I'd almost like to bleach it, just once. . . But so few brunettes stay true to their roots these days, and I'm pretty happy with my natural hair, so I don't want to risk ruining it.

This report is full of awesome. But for some reason...my favorite part has to be this whole event:

"the lady thanked us profusely and muttered something about him being mauled by a cat before closing the door and driving off again. o.o;; I sure hope it was a housecat. . . If I were doped up and met two giant technicolor versions of the animal that just tore into me, I'm not sure I would've reacted so calmly. . ."

I find that absolutely effed up and hilarious.
