Piper was currently sitting on the front porch, listening to her iPod. The music provided a slight distraction as she was quietly reflecting. She tried not to feel sad about certain things, but that proved to be difficult. She was sure it wasn't a coincidence when an ABBA song started playing next. Cally sat down next to Piper, a baby monitor in her hand. Nicky was snoozing in the house, peacefully.

"You could always stay," she said, quietly.

"I think everyone at the Hyperion misses my cooking too much," Piper joked. Then she was more serious. "I can visit anytime. That's the good thing about knowing bunch of teleporters. And you and Nicky are always welcome to visit."

"It's gonna feel really empty here without you," Cally said. "And I'm definitely going to miss your cooking, too."

"I guess I just wish we'd had more time. I still have so much to make up for."

"Which is why I will visit," Piper said. "So we'll still have time. And I can cook for you. I'm going to be doing a lot of that at restaurant school, so there's gonna be a lot of leftovers, I think."

She paused for a moment, thinking. "Seriously, if you need me, just call. I'll always make the time to talk."

Dani happened to be walking by when she spotted Piper on the porch. She gave an exaggerated wave to make sure she got Piper's attention. "Are you heading back to San Francisco?" she asked.

"Ahh," said Dani, smiling. "Can't blame you for that. I love L.A. and it's a little bit warmer than San Francisco, anyway. It's too bad that it's still too close to for comfort to my dad and brother."

Not that she would have anyway considering he was kind of never around.
