Piper was preparing for Halloween by carving a pumpkin. She enjoyed the decorating aspect of it all, though no one would find witch decorations around here. She wasn't a big fan of the negative stereotypes of witches this holiday often embellished

Piper did know who she lived with, right? Because Anders was totally going to try and steal some of the candy.

More importantly at the moment, though.

"That's going to be pie, right? Tell me that pumpkin's going to be pie."

"Not this time," Piper said somewhat regretfully. "The next one can be a pie."

It'll be closer to Thanksgiving then.

"Jack o'lantern?" Anders shook his head. "Damn waste of a pumpkin's what it is."

He dragged a chair over and straddled it, leaning over the back rest.

"What're you carving?"

It was an interesting waste, apparently.

"This is not a waste. It is beautiful artwork," Piper replied, continuing to carve.

It was mediocre artwork, just a regular jack o'lantern face. None of those fancy designs.
