Who: Bianchi and Killua
What: Informative rescue
Where: a random summer island, to the mini, to the fleet
Why: Because Bianchi was stranded and desperately wants to find her love and her brother
The sun had already set by the time the SD mini surfaced in the sand of the nearby island beach. Killua anchored it and waded to the shore, eyes already skimming the coastline looking for light. He hauled his backpack back up onto his shoulders in case he needed to post to her again and started trudging toward a light in the distance. In a moment he picked up speed so that he was going at a light jog, the light coming up much more quickly now. "Hello?" His voice drifted across the sand above the sound of waves.
Bianchi laid her computer aside once she had finished messaging the
mysterious Killua and prayed she hadn't set herself up for capture by a rival family. Ipin had fetched him though and it wasn't as though she couldn't defend herself. (Not to mention what choice did she have if she ever wanted to find Reborn and Hayato?) She stoked the fire a little and checked the fish she had cooking in the coals. That guy was taking forever. Suddenly, a voice called hello. Bianchi turned immediately towards the call with a purple smoking skewer of fish in her hand.
Killua slowed to a walk, for the last few feet, looking up at the woman by the fire. She was tall and pretty and... cooking purple fish? That didn't look healthy. He looked back up at her and raised a brow, shoving his hands into the pockets of his shorts. He nodded.
"You want to finish that or eat on the boat?"
Bianchi felt a tide of relief sweep over her. She was going to get to see Reborn and Hayato.
"Oh I already ate. Would you like it? It's made with love...and my own special something."
She sized up the short silver haired male in front of her. He didn't look like he could do anything to her but then again Reborn and Colonello looked like cute little kids and they could kill her in a second.
Killua looked at the fish again and made a face.
"Urgh... the eyes are staring at me."
He might be holding back a gag reflex. Killua had a thing about food staring at you.
"No thanks."
Bianchi frowned.
"You really should eat it. I don't want it going to waste and you're rather skinny." She held the skewer out towards him.
Killua litterally skittered backward at the thought of touching the staring food.
"UGH NO! Bring it with you if you gotta but... ugh yuck!"
She pouts.
"You must not have enough love. Ah well, Reborn will love it or perhaps Hayato and Tsuna haven't eaten yet? I should have prepared more."
Killua looked relieved and ran a hand through his hair.
"I dunno, I think Fay's been cooking for them when Nanami isn't. Just... keep that away from me."
He looked at the fire then back at the boat.
"You ready to go then??
She kicks some sand over the flames and carefully stows the remaining fish somewhere undistinguishable.
"Yes, lead the way."
Killua waited for her to fall into step next to him before starting the walk back toward the mini. He moved them off the dry sand to where the waves were coming up so it would be easier walking for her.
"So you're with Tsuna that means your mafia?"
Bianchi takes note of his consideration and her opinion of him improves despite his refusal of her food. She glances at him from the corner of her eye.
"Yes, I am a member of the Vongola. Why do you ask?"
Killua shrugged and glanced at her.
"Making small talk I suppose. We're going to be on the same fleet anyway, it doesn't hurt to know those kinds of things, yeah?" He held out a hand. "Killua Zaoldyeck."
Reborn had known his family so that meant somehow their worlds were simliar. Assiassins knew assassins, if she was somene worth knowing she probably knew about the Zaoldyecks as well.
Bianchi looks at him curiously but shakes his hand nonetheless. "Zaoldyecks? A freelancer then? I'm Bianchi, the Vongola's Poison Scorpion. Your life must be interesting."
He shakes as well and then lets his hand drop to his side.
"OH! Ok." he looked thoughtful. "Well I guess so, as interesting as anyone else's. I ran away from home though. Dad announce I was the heir but I was so boooored."
He rolled his eyes and pulled his other hand out of his pocket to clasp his hands behind his head.
"So now Gon and I are hunters. And I guess pirates here till we find a way home."
A fleeting sorrowful, but nostalgic look crosses her face.
"We have some similarities then. As you are traveling with the Vongola I'm assuming the Family has taken up piracy as well?"
She said it nonchalantly because it really didn't matter to her. She would follow Reborn and Hayato to the ends of the earth and by extension Tsuna as well. Killua's observant even if he fakes not being so. Her sad look doesn't go unnoticed.
"Yep it's not like we follow the rules so that made us pirates. Personally it can be pretty fun if you do it right." He grinned at her.
She couldn't help but smile a little back.
"It sounds like normal times. Who else is a part of the...crew?" She hesitates but lands on the correct word after a second. He looks up at the stars.
"Umm.. you want to know both crews or the Vongola one?"
"Both, information is always vital and you are extended family for the time being, yes?"
He chuckled quietly.
"Well we're allies anyway." He thought for a moment. "I'm not going to remember everyone but I'll give it a go. Mmm... Let's see you know Tsuna and Gokudera and Yamamoto, Colonello, Lal, Reborn, the quiet chick... Spanner. Or maybe you don't know Spanner. He was from your future or something? Umm... Nanami and the new guy Fay, that's your boat..."
"Quiet chick? Not Kyoko or Haru...Chrome-chan? I do not know Spanner. Who is this Nanami? Someone mentioned Reborn has taken him as another student."
"Yeah Chrome. With the dark hair." He glanced at her and the started laughing. "Nanami's a chick too. Blond hair, swords."
Bianchi's eyes narrowed.
"A woman? With blonde hair?"
Her teetch clenched slightly before she released a sigh. She could hardly expect anything from Reborn except the unexpected of course. Killua rolled his eyes. Women.
"Yep, he had her cooking for a while. I think he was just happy to have a willing student. She seems to be working pretty hard for a princess."
Bianchi ran a hand through her hair and felt her heart break.
"He had her cooking?" She whispered.
Reborn had completely abandoned her for a blonde princess. Killua looked at her again with a raised brow.
"Good thing someone was, they would starve to death if he hadn't made her cook. But I guess she passed that job on to the froofy Fay guy. Anyway, the other boat is Me and Gon of course, you won't know any of us. But Gon's my friend. And you do know Ipin and Lambo. And Ipin's sort of attatched herself to Jyaubra and he's doing dirty adult things with Fujiko and mmm... Giselle cooks, talk about princesses but she makes a killer chocolate cake.
And mmm.. America who's loud and annoying but not too bad I guess. And Mashiro, a chick with green hair who makes no sense at all. And mmm.. Fran's the doctor... Toboe's like a wolf or dog or something and the newer peole are Orpherus who's apparently a prince and Rosette who's a nun but she carries guns. and ummm... a little spikey guy and Rukia who likes visiting the normal boats so she can climb the sails."
Bianchi distantly heard his synopsis and filed it away for examination later but the forefront of her mind was still on this sudden revelation that Reborn has a female student and he asked her to cook. It took Bianchi a moment to compose herself and gather her thoughts but when she did all she could feel was her Dying Will. She would keep Reborn as her lover and cook for him no matter what or who was in her way. Romeo didn't die in a car crash after all.
"Thank you for the information."
Killua shrugged and stepped into the water toward the small sub. "Sorry you gotta get wet, come on in."
He led her into the boat so they could head back to the ships. Some amusement lit her face.
"I won't melt but the courtesy is nice."
She followed him in. It took a moment to seal the door and pull up anchor before the boat backed out of the sand and turned dropping into the water. The ride was quiet and dark except the small space lit by explorer lights on the mini, pulling them up to the side of the Vongola boat.
"Well here's your stop."
"Thank you. I'm sure we shall see each other frequently as allies. Have a goodnight."
She climbed aboard a ship even larger than she had originally believed it to be.
"No problem. See you around."
Killua waited to make sure she was up before he popped back into the mini and drove back to the Sweet Death.
