Work at home post rejoicealways53 October 9 2008, 05:39:57 UTC
All that work at home that a mom does surely helps to make home a happier place.

I'm glad you do the PTA work, too. That is such a big help to the schools, and ultimately, to the kids. :)

I like to think that my kids will look back on their childhoods and remember all the stuff I do for them and with them, because I get a lot of joy out of it.

The PTA can be a pain sometimes, but I like being part of it.

I'm a stay-at-home mom and I don't see how I would ever have time to work. I really don't know how working moms do it. I really like having our weekends free for fun.

I used to be a working mom until I got pregnant with my second. Actually, I was a single working mom for a few years until I got remarried. I was constantly stressed and tired. I don't think I could do it again.

Maybe if she wasn't so RUDE she'd have friends that could pick it up for her. Running a household isn't work? That's Funny!

According to her, my friend and I were the rude ones, PLUS we had no idea what customer service is! She didn't get that we weren't employees, just moms helping out.

You have to have 11, 12 and 13! Stay-at-home parenting IS a job, and every job has its breaks and rewards.

Great list. And it barely touches the list of responsibilities and services provided by a SAHM.

There's a lot of minutia that goes on, like remembering to have clean gym clothes ready on certain days, book orders sent in, tests coming up, etc. My brain is constantly thinking about these things.
