Four Foods on Friday #62

Jan 10, 2009 00:14

It's been a couple weeks since I participated in FFOF. I'm going to do this quickly because I'm exhausted and need to get to sleep soon.

#1. Waffles. Do you usually eat frozen or homemade?

I buy frozen, but I really should make them since I do own a wafflemaker. I've never even taken it out of the box! It intimidates me for some reason.

I have a waffle maker and I use it! I don't know why I bother though because it looks like I've pulverized the waffle into a million pieces by the time I get it out of the iron. The crumbs taste good but look gross. I'm sticking with the frozen waffles, quicker, easier and taste good.

I love anything with bacon, but quiche may just be my favorite.

I like your new theme! Very pretty. "I've never even taken it out of the box! It intimidates me for some reason." That made me smile. We cannot let these small appliances make us feel guilty!

Thanks, but I guess it's been a while since you stopped by - I've had the coffee theme for a while!

I really need to get that thing out of the box and give it a whirl.

You can make your own, then freeze them and reheat in the toaster. I have a really good recipe that doesn't require separating eggs, which I'd be happy to give you, and the batter keeps in the fridge for 4 to 5 days. I share your sentiments on eggs, oatmeal and bacon.
