Yesterday I posted that the day after Thanksgiving is our lazy day. Another Thanksgiving over. Whew! We have two dinners, the noon meal at my in-laws and the dinnertime meal at my mom's. The food was delicious as always, and I had my much-anticipated Day-After-Turkey-Sandwich today (turkey, stuffing and cranberries on whole wheat potato bread). Book fair week is over, and I am so glad. It's a lot of fun, but also a LOT of work and long hours. We have volunteers to help out, but my friend Kim and I are in charge, which means we do the setting up, schedule volunteers, fax in re-stock orders every morning, set up drawings and games for the students, and make sure at least one of us is ( Read more... )

Man, I am so tired. Next week is Scholastic Book Fair week at the elementary school, and my friend Kim and I spent yesterday and today getting it set up, previewing the books for students, holding a staff preview and lots of odds and ends stuff. Round 3 for me was completed last Thursday and sent out to Iraq on Friday. According to the information I got, the troop I was baking for was really into coffee.
