As your other comment,. I don't know the people either, but it is always shattering to lose a bright and shining star. My thoughts go out to the family involved, and my hugs to you for strength.

:(

Same here in relation to James and his little one -no idea what I could do to help but, as you say, I would like to be there. Gillian was one of the loveliest people I've known, a very warm friend, even though I hadn't known her for as long as other people here may have done -likewise James.

So, so sad. I only knew them at a couple of removes, via various friends' posting, but this is an appalling thing :(

^This is a good response. It's so easy for us all to say 'we're here for you, just ask us if you need anything'. But when you're grieving, it's hard to think about what you actually want or need, let alone who to ask for such things. I think if people can offer specific things to James via a co-ordinator, that will probably be the best way for us all to support him through this.

I just wish I wasn't so far away. :-( I think someone on your FB Lisa said something about us all getting together at some point, and you mentioned an epic group hug. I really think that's a great idea; so many of us have been affected by this tragedy.

Love to you all. x
