Sometimes I just get so pissed off!!!

Tonight was very frustrating for me... My folks got all up in my grill... They were really ticking me off... I was 2 seconds away from screaming a million obscenities at them... I haven't felt that way since the last time they got up in my grill, which was last week, but I'd say that this has been the worst one... I was just so angry, but I've ( Read more... )

1. Realize you are an adult, get a job.
2. Move out, refer to #1.
3. Put up with it until September and come back around here.

Sorry man. But you are an adult no matter how much you don't want to be one.

I'm just playing devil's advocate, but if I was your parents I'd just make you pay rent.

Sorry dude.

There's only one problem with getting a job. I have less than 7 weeks here. I moving back at the end of July for a play, so it's kind of hard to get a job for less than 7 weeks. I've applied at all of the temps services around. That's a step in the right direction, I'd say... I need a job... OY!!!

Whatever... Hope your summer is going well and that all is good...

My parents were very close to that same way when I first came to college. Now I'm in my third year and everything is 5 million times better. It just takes time, and you will need to get a job eventually.
Best Wishes
See you at the end of June.
Chris
P.S.
You have a job... It's called being an R.A. That will take a LOT of work.

It is true that I'm going to be an RA next year, but my parents are concerned that I don't have enough money to pay for incidentals and stuff, which I really don't... For example: if I wanted to go out on a Friday night, I probably wouldn't be able to because I won't have money, but I'm cool with that, I think... Let's just say that I'm really looking forward to next year... it will be nice to be away from home... this has been a hard summer, but it can either go up or down from here...

You don't always have to TELL potential employers that you're leaving... And if you don't tell them, you can always conveniently leave it off your next job application. (Not the RIGHT thing to do, but it isn't like it hasn't been done by EVERYONE at some point.)

Perhaps your parents are just curious as to what you're up to. Remember - these are your PARENTS not your ROOMMATES. (Roommates tend not to care.)

You're not joining the "real world." You're getting a summer job. Graduate from college and try to compete with high schoolers for jobs. THAT will be joining the "real world."
