RIP Denver

Our little rattie, Denver, died yesterday. He waited until Josh came home and passed about 20 minutes later. He had been a little sick the previous week, but had seemed to be bouncing back on Monday. He was moving around and eating like crazy and had cleaned himself. I guess it was his last little burst of life.

We'll miss him terribly.

I am so sorry for your loss. It is amazing that animals really seem to wait for people to be around when they pass. My dog did the same thing.

Josh sat next to me while I was holding him and pet his head and talked to him a bit. Then he got up to use the bathroom. Denver passed when he cam back out. I told Josh that the rattie had waited to say goodbye cause he liked his fur daddy better. Denver always liked Josh better :)

Thanks. His cage brother is kind of depressed so I am trying to pay extra attention to him. Rats don't do well alone, they get bored and lonely.

Thanks. He had kinky fur too! He was a Himalayan Rex. His cage brother, Henson, has kinky whiskers and slightly kinky fur, but is not categorized as a Rex.
