The Application!

Name: Cassie. That's about all, yeah.

Age: Sixteen. :D

10 Bands:
+ Tool
+ A Perfect Circle
+ Nine Inch Nails
+ Queen
+ The Sex Pistols
+ Smashing Pumpkins
+ Cold
+ AC/DC
+ Pre-mainstream Thursday (the only "emo" band I can stand, actually)
(A band you enjoy, but are ashamed to admit liking)
+ Linkin Park (and why I like it, because apparently I'm "ashamed"---the keyboards are fucking awesome and I absolutely love bands that can integrate them into music.)

5 Books:
* 1984 by George Orwell

* The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
* Squee! by Jhonen Vasquez (yes, it's a comic, but it could be a book if I said so.)
(Favorite Childrens Book)
* The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss or this weird series of books about bug characters, but the name escapes me because they're currently up in the attic right now.

You're stranded on a deserted island. What 3 things would you want to have with you?
-Food/Shelter/Cell Phone don't count.- : Sunscreen (because being tan is overrated), a computer with wireless internet access, and a pencil-paper set so I could keep records and draw.

Eating Dissorders- I think that there's no justification; to be honest, an eating disorder is the result of a lack of communication. I don't believe that the people always say they have "complete control" over their actions. It's a stupid way to lose weight and while I can understand feeling like you "look fat", I think that you should probably learn to deal with it by talking to someone who won't damage your self-esteem.
Politics- I've become politically apathetic lately; I've stopped caring about the war in Iraq (though I support the troups and not the war) and the gay rights movement. I honestly think that anyone on either side of the spectrum will have flaws, and if there are flaws, you can't change someone else's mind by arguing with them.
Standarized Highschool Tests- Most of the time, they're too easy. The TAKS in Texas is extremely simple, but the teachers put so much emphasis on it because bad test scores reduce funding (when in fact, it should be the other way around.) It's not only that, but also SATs and ACTs. While they're good measures (for the most part) of how much you've aquired over the course of your high school career, too much emphasis is put on them; I know a girl who (even though she's number two in her class of nearly 800) believes that if she doesn't get a 1600 on her SATs, she'll never get into a good college. Silly girl. To sum it up, there's too much emphasis on standardized tests..
Straight Edge (sXe)- People have a right to do whatever they want, though in most cases, I'd say, "Don't knock it before you try it."

What's the weirdest dream you've had?: One time I dreamt that I was in a concentration camp for healthy kids. They put every healthy kid into a cell with other not-so-healthy kids. I remember there was a girl in my cell who had four broken legs and cholera. I, on the other hand, was breathing through an oxygen tube and was perfectly fine. We organized an escape. And soon, we ended up on a cliff, where everyone but the girl with cholera, this boy with AIDS and myself were left (because everyone else committed suicide.) Then I woke up because I felt sick and had to go to the bathroom. Dun dun dun!

What would you normally be seen wearing?: Comfortable jeans or pants; either tye-dye shirts, gay-pride shirts (just because rainbows are good ways to start conversations), Tool shirts and rainbow makeup. And otherwise, bright colors and patterns. And I never match. Because matching takes too much time in the morning.

Why do you think you should be accepted?: Because you guys all know you want to accept me anyway. No, because I love rating communities and I like to see the politics and preferences of others. Especially I like knowing why people don't like me.

If you could be any singer from the 80's, who would you be and why?: Boy George. The guy put on great makeup (still probably spends 8903243 hours every day applying his liquid latex), wore fun hats when he was still with the Culture Club, and it's really hard to not like gay men. :D Plus, "Karma Cameleon" was a good song.

Relationship Status? If taken, tell us the sweetest story your boy/girlfriend has done for you. If single and have an ex, tell us a horrific ex story. Make us want to kill the bitch/bastard...:D: Single, but I don't really have a horrific ex story. Except my last male relationship, the guy wanted to have sex with me two days into it (completely conscious that I am a virgin X.O) or that after my last female relationship, she hated me for something I didn't do. Apparently I cheated on her and made her lower her standards or something. Which is weird, 'cuz I was the one who lowered my standards. Ah, well. Exes will be exes.

What do you want to be when you get older?: I'm 70% positive I want to teach--I'm thinking that I want to teach Eastern European, Scandinavian, or Celtic languages to Western Europeans. (Not to the English, though. I mean, they're great and all, but I already know English.) If it's not that, then I want to teach Romance Languages as a professor on the West Coast. Languages are my passion.

What do you think is your most annoying habbit?: Probably that I talk too much--most people's first impression of me usually includes the fact that I never take a breath (though I'm actually better at listening, but other people never want to talk x.o) and that I can talk about anything for hours. Or maybe I'll be generic and I'll say that I bite my nails. :D

You can be anyone for exactly 24 hours (living or dead). Who would you be and why?: I would definately want to be Brad Pitt for a day. He has a really hot wife, is adorable himself, has a wonderfully sweet personality, and gets to play really intruiging parts in films (Troy--though I haven't yet seen it because it's not out yet! and Interview with a Vampire) which make me jealous. I'd kill to be a vampire for a movie or a play. Plus, I've heard he's really smart and that's always cool.

Oh.
And my bandwidth's dying. So if there're any problems (like you really want to see pictures of me) then just leave a comment and I'll get to you with 039482 pictures of my lovely self.
