So I called up my family today and they are okay along with our home. We live near where they storm took place, and had the brount of the outskirts of the eye of the storm. People were ordered to stay in their homes to prevent a gridlock after Hurricane Katrina. This was a catgory one hurricane. Having said that, people living on the coast Island ( Read more... )

Wow that sucks. I didn't think it would even get that far inland. Sucks that the tree got uprooted and everything is a mess especially since the house is so new. Glad everyone is safe though!

Thanks, Yeah we haven't even had time to really do to much, but it's still so nice! Actually the building where my dad works at had several windows damaged, and parts of downtown Houston got flooded. I'm really not surprised after all it is hurricane season, and Houston is part of the gulf. Having said that it still sucks, but at least we don't live in Galveston.
