I'm working on a painting for for a patriotic scholarship. I've got a sailor embracing a woman and little kid. Pretty mushy. There's a tree nearby with a yellow ribbon around it and there are fireworks going off in the background. My three year old brother gave me sequinny devil horns and a life-size model of a human skull for Valentine's Day! This is probably the best V's day ever! I didn't get flowers, or other nonsense. Valentine's day is probably my least favorite "holiday." I mean, all that romantic crap. Valentine's day is great for sending joke cards and stuff. I am so excited about school next year. I used to roll my eyes about the term "senioritis" which is applied to seniors anxious to leave for college. I had a talk with my mom today. She said that if I want to go to RISD, she and my dad will make it happen. So it's settled. I'm going to have to take out student loans, but it'll be worth it.
