Dear Editor -- I am 8 years old. Some of my little friends say there is no Santa Claus. Papa says ''If you see it in The Sun it's so.'' Please tell me the truth, is there a Santa Claus

Bless you. :) I was curious to see whether anybody else on LJ posted this. I've run across a few people who'd never even heard of it, which is sad.

Thanks! Its one of my favorite things about this season. The hope and wonderment of a child is exactly what we need to be reminded of when things seem to be going crazy. Not to mention, it makes me tear up every time I read it. :)

Same here, on favorite things. I'm glad I'm not alone in feeling that way. :)
This year isn't a good one for me, but I've always thought that was when we most needed some hope. God knows there's more than enough cynicism.
