this irks my very being...you see here see, when a radio station plays a new tune, they should be curteous enough to tell all listeners WHO sings that awesome tune...not just simply play the song....see, i like this song that star94 plays, but they never say who sings it. It bothers me, but here are some of the lyrics ( Read more... )

.:Aherm:.

"Hold On" - Good Charlotte.

And I'm afraid to announce to you, Sloc, that the song has been on the radio for a bit of time now.

hm what irks *me* is how maroon5 is all over the radio now...like i was listening to them two years ago, i saw them headline at the cotton club when they were that small...and now This Love is on top 40 radio. booooo. (but it's still a good song). same thing with jason mraz...except everybody knew he was going to make it big because he's more of pop/teen/trl sort of commodity...(while this does not detract from the point that he's an amazing vocalist, even though its not highlighted on his record, he's chosen to completely sell-out in record timing). calling all tiger beat subscribers.

i miss art with you guys! i've been sick (for real this time, 101 temps and everything). so is senior skip still on for tomorrow? ihop? call me tonight.

alex! stop being so lame! there is nothing wrong with an artist being successful. i heard of maroon5 a year and a half ago and, while i didn't like them and thought they sounded really generic, being successful does not make them any better or worse. just because an artist is successful does not make them a sellout. actually, in artists i like, it gives them the money needed to do something really experimental i.e. bjork. in fact, wouldn't you want an artist you like to be successful? i definitely would.

god knows i hate jason mraz, but how is he all sellout now? his music is from the same cd that you liked before he "hit it big."

stop trying to be so anti-anything popular because you might miss out on some actually good music!
