Last night Daniel woke up nice and early (4:30am) and just wanted to snuggle. It's always nice to know that I'm unconditionally loved - or at least needed. He's a cutie and I love him. I'm tired roday, but it's nice to have the freedom to just relax and do alot of not much. The little one and I just sat and played on the floor for most of the ( Read more... )

I love that whole stage of childhood. When they learn so much so fast and every achievement makes you so proud that you cry.
It never ends, Christopher (my son) still amazes me.

Yup, and today Daniel and I were rolling a ball back and forth! I mean, he was getting the game...sure, his aim was a little off. I rolled him the ball, he'd grab it, and then push it away (in whatever direction). Just adorable!

Hi. I just want to introduce myself. I noticed that you have Tetralogy of Fallot in your interests. My daughter is 2 and 1/2 months old and was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot when she was a week old. It was actually discovered that something was wrong when she was two days old. Does your son have Tetralogy of Fallot?

Hi doubledup,
Yes, my son (who is 8 months old) was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) when I was 8 mo pregnant. He also had other health problems that kept him in the hospital for 5 weeks. When he was 3 months old, he had heart surgery to correct the TOF, and has been doing well ever since. Did your daughter have to remain in NICU long?

She hasn't had her surgery yet. As long as she stays healthy and continues to gain weight then we can wait until she's about 22 lbs. At the rate she is growing that will probably be December-January. If she starts having symptoms then we'll go ahead with the surgery.

Wow, so you knew befor you had your son. It's pretty scary isn't it? I'm glad your son is doing well. I'm looking forward to being able to say the same after Ashtynn's surgery.

Thank you for sharing your story with me.
