The more I think about it, sometimes I feel strange actually recording my thoughts in an online journal. There are times when I don't write what I'm thinking because I know people will read it...even if they are merely reading randomly. Handwritten journals provide a definate privacy, and you can reveal your innermost persona. Those who read ( Read more... )

I so agree. I have a paper journal and nothing beats that. I've been writing in a paper journal since the fourth grade and I've saved all of them. It's kind of neat (ok, and scary) to think about Madeline and Emma reading them when they grow up; to see what their mom's life was all about. But, I have to admit I've become a little lax about writing in the paper one since I started this.

I used to keep a journal growing up but found that they would always get broken into. But for the past 3 years I have kept a locked journal on my computer. I find that though I post often enough on the livejournal, my inner most thoughts can never be written down for the world to read.

Oh, to be sure, I post often enough here, and don't write by hand much anymore. I mean, it *is* the age of technology. I guess sometimes I just get a little notalgic.
