But if I can't even remember who said that the Superman series stopped at Superman III, I can't be sure that they'll read this.

DC and Warner Bros. made TWO movie franchises at 4 movies a piece. The movies got progressively worse. In fact, ask anyone and they'll tell you that the first two batman movies and the first superman movies are all classics, but the third movie of both series is a notch down, and the fourth movie of each series is a mistake that got someone fired. Of course, now, only ONE year apart, they're revamping and attemtping to restart both of those franchises with NEW origin stories.
