I saw it last night and didn't enjoy it at all. (see my latest entry for my take on it). It's nothing like Batman Begins in my opinion, which is easily in my top 5 favorite movies of all time. Batman had several things that interests the audience, including a plot, whereas Superman lacked a plot - and what little there was, was uninteresting. I think maybe I expected too much going into it, though.

I know, maybe I expected too much from it too. I guess after watching the Spiderman movies, we expect alot. I only made the reference that it was similar to Batman Begins because in both movies, the audience clapped at the end (which doesn't happen often). Also, I wasn't too thrilled w/ the whole plot of Scarecrow trying to scare everyone insane, but that's just me. I loooved the training sequences at the begining though.

You're right about the movie being heavy on the Clark and Lois romance. I noticed that too. I think it just needed a better villain and better stunt coordinators. Maybe if this movie was released a few years ago, we would have liked it better.

I agree - hopefully the next movie will have a *real* villain. I need more fight scenes.
