You know, I was concerned that I'd be bored with unemployment, but so far, it's been okay - which is assisted by the fact that I'm currently interviewing for a couple of jobs, so I'll take the low stress while I can get it. *fingers crossed one of the jobs works out

Well, who knows if they will work it out and he goes back, but for the moment, he's left. They'll call you about it if he's not back by the time you have a cut scheduled - that's what they did for me last week, anyway. And then I promptly texted him to ask WTF.
