There is the laws that are supposed to allow for religious observance but because of TWA Vs. Hardison (http://religiousfreedom.lib.virginia.edu/court/tran_v_hard.html) they pretty much can get away with having you work just by saying it would be unfair for someone else to have to work the Sunday shift just because they don't practice any religion that has Sunday as a day of rest, assuming that the Sunday shift is undesirable to other employees...that would make it a punishment for everyone else basically.
