Awww, I really hope that there isn't any long-term damage! Good luck!

Thanks! Me, too. I turned it on again yesterday and everything seemed to work except that J and F typed when they weren't supposed to (sjo ejveryjfthing wajs lijke thifs) and D acted as if I was holding down alt. I'm leaving my laptop upside down for a few days because people told me that might help?!?

lol, I never thought of that. I don't know if blow drying it would help or if it would over heat? I just just know that I won't be drinking anything near my computer anymore!

According to websites and computer experts I've talked to, warm air is bad but cool air is fine. They recommend fans, compressed air, or blow driers set on cool. Haha. I'm going to be an expert on treating drowned laptops after this! ;)

I'm a serial eater/drinker near computers. I know it's bad but I can't help it. Hopefully your comp sorts itself out!

Oh and I just wanted to say good luck with the election today/tomorrow! You know who to vote for!!! :)

I know. It's just so convenient. And I only have one desk, so my cups and my computer both end up there. But obviously that's not a smart thing to do. Apparently water+electronics=bad. ?! ;)

I'm so excited to know the results. I voted last Friday (early voting). It felt so good to choose Obama's name!!

Ehh who knew? :p

Did you take a moment to think "I am changing history here"? I did that when I voted for Kevin. :) :)

I would have, but I live in Utah. My vote counts for nothing. It was more of a symbolic gesture. I did feel really proud though! The nightmare's almost over!!!! :)

I dunno how to help: go to the college library or computer lab?

Or copy and paste words into the Word document.

If your laptop is under warranty you can get a new keyboards for free- or if it is not I think you still have maybe just replace the keyboard depending on the type of laptop.

I wouldn't worry about it yeeeeeet...

I have an old desktop that I usually use for word processing, so I'm using that for now. It's slow, but it does the job. My uncle, who's a computer guy, suggested leaving my laptop upside down for a few days to let the water empty. Hopefully it won't have any long-term damage, although I suspect the keyboard problems might stick. Hmph. My laptop's 2 years out of warranty, but good thing they make wireless keyboards!

At this point I'm hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst.
