College isn't for everyone

great article. and kind of depressing.

Yeah, liked the college piece. I remember reading my classmates' papers in 1010 and being aghast at the crudity of their prose, if you could dignify it with the term. I could, without exaggeration, write more eloquently in the sixth grade.

More depressing yet, though, was that my teacher, a cheerful and utterly clueless plump little woman, didn't fail them. She happily gave everyone a C, regardless of their "deficits," and went on her merry way.

Like I've said before: The primary function of college isn't to educate; it's to separate the managers from the workers.
