In the Water, Under the Sea

My love of zombie movies is well known here, but I haven't said much of my love for the far more esoteric genre of sea monster movies. Sharks, sea serpents, kraken, whatever. I love them. Over the past two days I have seen Piranha, Piranha 2: The Spawning and Hammerhead: Shark Frenzy. The piranha movies deal with mutated piranha. In the first movie

Is there a list of these movies somewhere? Cuz I was going to point out that 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea has a good scene with a giant squid.

I haven't checked. I've just been collecting them on the DVR. The Piranha movies I got over the intarweb to fulfill a nostalgic longing.

Of course, Deep Blue Sea is one of the very best of the genre, but here I was just recounting a few I had seen recently. Never let it be said that my love of Deep Blue Sea has flagged, even a little bit. I love that fucking movie.
