oh my god, how do I even.

- essay got handed in. on time. YAY.

- full week of classes while still basically running on fumes. BOO.

- HP7 Part 1. IT WAS AWESOME. YAY.

- museum society day trip to oxford today, YAY4509384- I spoke to the director of the pitt rivers museum and actually asked questions that didn't sound stupid, triple yay

This isn't even the first night this week. Last night, friend who lives in nearby village stayed over, so as not to have to get up at the crack of dawn to make the Oxford bus, and friend who lives in nearby student accommodation joined us. Village-friend was eager for pub-based socialising, since for once she wouldn't have to leave early to catch the bus home, but extensive text-messaging revealed that everyone else was too knackered (see: running on fumes). Decision eventually made to stay in, get drunk, and watch geeky movies/AVPM/whatever.

What actually happened: staying in, getting drunk, and debating institutional racism, misogyny and rape culture, and fatphobia, and BOYS ARE DUMB until 1:30am (and getting up at 7:30am).

Feel validated in choice of both course and friends, but at the same time LOL WHAT IS MY LIFE

Last night me, my mum, my dad, my uncle, his wife, and my cousin all went to an Irish night for a mental health charity. We thought this would be some kind of ceili - it was in fact a nightclub lit entirely with bright green lights while a terrible band occasionally played something close to "The Fields of Athenry". Cousin and I started having a good time when we realised that we were in a night club with our parents, at a Diaspora Disco, and the whole thing was incredibly funny.

Strangely enough, it got progressively more funny the more wine I had as well. XD
