hey you maybe i will see you in late august when i come to visit sherrytoy_of_thoughtJuly 12 2007, 12:53:41 UTC
i belonged to an (the same?) organic co-op when i lived in waterloo. it was the shizzle!!!! chard or kale are great steamed with a bit of cream cheese, yes cream cheese, on top. with rice. i don't know that other vegetable.
standard is a lot like the gears on a bike. except with a clutch. you can do it! just be sure to find a teacher who has a very positive attitude and you'll learn in a flash. i learned standard on an old VW bus and if i could do it in that crazy bus, anybody can.

rats! I'll be in England from Aug 23rd to Sept 7th... Dan will be in town, and I'm sure Sherry will have all our lovely pals over to celebrate your visit- I'm always outta luck!
the co-op is north of guelph, and this is their first year- run by two way cute gals younger than me. makes you want to move to the country and get dirty.
thanks for the kale tip- cream cheese here I come!
I love reading your thoughts! Especially when you spell them out for me! Man, reading your post made me hungry. And inspired. I think it's good to share these summaries/resolutions because it reminds us all that sometimes we need to actually stop our internal cd from skipping. Um... yeah

Sorry about that sunday, maybe I will ring you tonight... we saw mirah and she was great... we're seeing the guy from smog- bill callahan in sept.. nothing else at the mo
Not to sound unoriginal, but I also love reading your posts. I love your writing style, and I love reading about all things you. Because you are so very lovely, Caroline.
To cook it peel it, and cut it and boil it like a carrot. I like it cut into matchsticks. Then served with a nutmeg white sauce (that's how us block heads eat it). To make sauce: 2 table spoons of butter in a pan. Melt. 2 table spoons of flour. Mix and cook the "flour taste" out for like a minute. Add milk and stir. Add a bit of milk at first, but then keep adding it until it thickens and it's all sauce like.. similar to makeing any white sauce or a cheese sauce. Then add salt, pepper and nutmeg to taste. Mix with tender kolrabi.
