So here's a little catch up...

After a week of being home, I went back south and went to NEW YORK CITY! It was so much fun. I had never been before. My friend Zach, who I haven't seen since we were 16 and on our concert tour in Europe, came up from Texas and bought us tickets to see the Red Sox play the Yankees. Ohhhh man. It was the best 3 days ever. I got to run around and check out the sights of the city, watch my team play their arch rivals, and drink all night with one of the coolest guys in the world. He was the biggest sweetheart too and I wish there were more men out there like him. And I'm so happy that we went to the game that the Red Sox won, too. The whole experience I had with the crowd was awesome and I'm glad I lived to tell the tale. Their fans were so nasty to me and Zach, but whatever. We won! I could write on forever about this trip. We went to the top of the Rockefeller Center, hung out in Times Square, ate in all sorts of little local eateries, lounged in central park, went to old record shops, listen to street music...it was amazing.

The last week of June and the first week of July were the two weeks I spent with the National Guard. We played a ton of little shows EVERYWHERE in the state. It was a lot of fun. My bass playing improved a lot, which is great. I have a lot more confidence in my playing and I got a lot of compliments for it. I did better on my PT test this time around, which is awesome. I'm getting back into working out and dieting. I was dieting hardcore for over a month before the tour, and I tried to keep it going through the tour but it was difficult when we were on the road. The tour was great though. I got drunk and sang for hours with my friend Mel and all these cute Navy boys in Brunswick. We don't know any of their names which is a shame since I may have kissed one...we called him Texas since he was from Texas haha. It was one of the best nights I have had in a long time. The next night I went to a bar with a bunch of the band and the commander bought me a bunch of margaritas, along with a few other people as well. We had fun that night too. I love my band, even though I'm leaving it in 2 years.

That's pretty much all that has been going on with me. I have more National Guard this weekend and then I'm going to Gorham for a few days. I have a job in town working for this lady who lives across the street.

I've also figured out what I'm doing after graduation. I'm trying to get really serious about losing weight and getting in shape. Then I'm going active duty Air Force and I'm going to be an officer. I'm really excited about it. :-D
