Today my friend, my roommate and I started the Master Cleanse. I want to use this internet diary as a way to chronicle how we feel and what definitive results come from doing this. At this point it's become an experiment for me, because the toxins talk always sounds like pseudo-science and I don't want to lose weight. I feel kind of stupid, but we' ( Read more... )

I know you're only aggressive about this because there is a small lump of coal in your heart telling you you're not good enough, you can't beat someone with cheeks as big as Sarah Crowe, you'll never amount to anything other than a splitter of meals.

I'm actually going to be very annoying for my livejournal friends and the internet at large by trying to keep a daily log of our process. I've never restricted what I eat in any way so I'll likely be the one wigging out the most.

Yes, my roommate went 100% raw after researching for a month or so into the last semester. I would definitely suggest it, although maybe not at 100% (she's going to be less after the cleanse because it's a real hard thing to keep up all the time). She got super healthy and was energetic for how little sleep she got.

Both my roommates did that, too. Just be careful to not over-work yourself and stay up late during this time, I suppose the beginning of a semester would be a good time 'cause classes are slower.

Good luck! And the moment you feel gross, please stop, These things can cause serious issues.

Yes, oh, gosh don't let yourself faint from hunger or anything.
I think I'll be vaguely worried, now... But good luck. I hope this leaves you feeling all cleansed and perfect with life.

I'm in a weird position; I'm dubious of a lot of the new-age gab, but I don't completely trust the academic community that refuses to peer-review these things. I can read all the anecdotal evidence that is mostly positive (if they go through with the whole program), and I can read all the other kids on the internet who have a bunch of different explanations as to what's going on in the MC, but in two weeks I won't need to rely on either groups.
