Yeah, I'll probably get defriended by some of my more civilized European flisties, and I totally respect their POV and acknowledge that they are far more enlightened and gentle-souled than me. Really, I should feel bad that I don't feel bad that he's dead. But the visceral feeling I got in my chest on 9/11 when I watched those people jumping to their deaths from the crumbling twin towers would just come back to me anew whenever I saw videos of that SOB gloating about how he's going to kill more of us. It's been a thorn in my side that he was still out there, running around free after what he did. Would I have been OK with it if he had surrendered and been brought back here for trial? Sure. But he didn't. The troops did what they had to do, and I'm perfectly OK with the result. More than OK. It's not like we're cheering about the deaths of thousands of innocent people like they were doing on the West Bank after 9/11. That guy was a mass murderer. And not just of Americans.
